People have been using Lapis for thousands of years, not just in jewelry but also as blue paint pigment, you can still see some of this color on the ruins of ancient Egypt.
There is very little of it still being mined today, most of it that will be be sold in the future is already on the market or in private collections. Someday we may run out and might never see this magnificent natural blue again. There is no other natural source of this magnificent blue color for pain pigment. 💙
But you can buy a few great pieces of it to male into beautiful cabochons or to leave it, as is, for your collection.
